hese Prosecco Strawberry Margaritas will add a bit of sparkle to your Cinco de Mayo plans. Fresh strawberries get blended with your favorite tequila, fresh lime juice, Agave Nectar and a splash of OJ. A generous pour of Prosecco on top gives this drink a welcome bit of sweet fizz.
I’m definitely a bit of a diva when it comes to my margaritas! If there’s one thing I can’t stand in a margarita, its that nasty pre-made sweet and sour mix. It is WAY too sweet and artificial tasting. A good margarita needs fresh ingredients for a refreshing taste. I love a classic margarita, but its fun to experiment with different flavors when I’m feeling a bit “wild and crazy”. Just drinking a cocktail feels wild and crazy these days after spending the last several weekends unpacking boxes and painting my new house.
My mother-in-law claimed that this was her new favorite cocktail (not sure how she got more than a sip since her cocktail kept “disappearing” due to thirsty bandits close by). Anyhow, the price to pay for a cocktail at my house is hand modeling. I’ve cropped out portions of said hands that were not given full model approval. This has left us with a small sliver of hand, but what a great pour job. I see many more modeling days in her near future. Yes husband, you get to take a break from your modeling days.
My daughter’s 3rd birthday was on Sunday. I have no idea how the heck that happened! Its so cliche, but it went by way too fast. Now, we need a dump truck to haul off some of these old toys. Barbie Dream House is going to need a couple of additions to make room for the colossal pile of Barbies and Barbie horses. A girl has to have options, right?
Cinco de Drinko is just upon us. Be sure to check out my 16 or 17 Margaritas post for plenty of tequila inspiration. Kick up the refreshing factor by trying out a Watermelon Margarita with Midori for one of the cutest layered cocktails ever.
