This Chocolate Turtle Martini with Pecan Whiskey, Crème de Cacao and Butterscotch Schnapps is a decadent cocktail that is perfect for entertaining. It gets topped off with a caramel and rim with chopped pecans and a swirl of chocolate sauce.
My husband ended up with this Pecan Whiskey after a card party and I couldn’t resist the idea of using it to make another dessert martini. If you’ve been following me for a bit, you know that I can’t resist a good martini.
The pecan flavor is a great addition to this creamy, chocolatey goodness that I will be drinking on the regular. I’m going to try using it to make a Pecan Pie Martini next! So much fall inspiration with this flavor.
The Amazing Rim
I just can’t resist adding a fun rim job to my martinis and this one has chopped pecans and caramel. The rim alone is a treat worth savoring in itself. It might even measure up to my favorite, Salted Caramel Chocolate Martini with a pretzel rim!
Needed Ingredients
- 1 Shot (1.5 oz.) Pecan Whiskey
- 1 shot (1.5 oz.) Crème de Cocoa
- 1/2 shot (.75 oz.) Butterscotch Schnapps
- 1 tbsp. Chocolate Syrup
- 1 shot (1.5 oz.) Half & Half
- Chopped Pecans
- Caramel syrup
Variations
Substitute the chocolate sauce and Crème de Cocoa for a shot of Godiva Chocolate Liqueur if you have it available. The result is a richer, delightful variation on this fun little cocktail. I absolutely adore Godiva anything, but it can be a bit pricier. For a skinnier version, feel free to substitute 2% milk for Half & Half. The result is really just as good with less calories and fat.

- 1.5 oz. Pecan Whiskey
- 1.5 oz. Crème de Cocoa
- .75 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps
- 1.5 oz. Half & Half
- 1 tbsp. Chocolate Syrup
- 1 cup ice
- chocolate syrup for swirling
- caramel sauce for rim
- finely chopped pecans for rim

Dip the rim of a martini glass onto a plate with caramel sauce; twist until coated.

Dip the rim onto a plate with chopped pecans; twist until coated.

Add all of the drink ingredients to a cocktail shaker; shake vigorously until chilled.

Swirl chocolate sauce around the inside of the prepared martini glass; starting at the base and working your way up to nearly the top of the rim.

Strain the martini into the glass. Enjoy!
