This Pumpkin Spice White Russian is a great spin on a classic cocktail for fall! A splash of pumpkin spice creamer and a dash of pumpkin pie spice blend harmoniously with vodka and Kahlua.
I can’t think of a White Russian without thinking of the movie, The Big Lebowski. The “Dude” was really onto something with his affection for this great cocktail. I love the swirling effect you get when pouring that top layer of cream over the vodka and Kahlua mixture. It really is ethereal.
Its always so exciting when you start seeing all the pumpkin spice flavors at the grocery store. Pumpkin signifies the beginning of fall and the upcoming end to nasty, humid weather in the Midwest. I achieved creamy goodness perfection by lightly mixing half-and-half with a bit of the pumpkin pie spice creamer. You could just pour the creamer over the top and stir it up a bit if you’d like. I prefer to keep things separated with a “surprise” at the end of the party.
White Russians usually call for half-and-half or heavy cream. Half-and-half is a mixture of whole milk and heavy cream. It is easily, found in the dairy section with the milk. Whole milk can also be used if you are looking to lighten things up. I’m not used to the richness of heavy cream after being a skim milk drinker, so I think the whole milk is really just as good. However, the layering effect may not be as distinct if you opt for milk.
Feel free to intensify your dreamy experience by adding a spray or two of whipped cream on top; followed by a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. The flavors are just too good!
The original plan was to use my precious pumpkin spice creamer on my daily latte intake, but I decided to add a Pumpkin Spice White Russian to the mix. I usually go with caramel flavors, but pumpkin spice is a great way to change things up a bit. A Spiked Pumpkin Latte is always a winner in my book.

Mmmm…just saw this and have everything on hand. It’s on like Donkey Kong! But where are these glasses from? I need a big barrel-full, man-sized cocktail glass

LOL…I think they were from Crate and Barrel, but you may want to go larger. Enjoy!

This looks delicious! I will be trying it. We also get Pumpkin Spice Kahlua (and Baileys) seasonally in the Pacific Northwest (not sure if you get it there) so I may try some different combinations based off your recipe. Cheers!
