This Whipped Coffee Martini has a creamy topping made by mixing instant coffee, sugar and water. The addition of vanilla vodka and Kahlua with a dusting of cocoa powder make it a delectable treat.
It seems like whipped coffee also known as Dalgona coffee is everywhere right now. The classic recipe is equal parts instant coffee, sugar and warm water whipped together as a topping on regular milk.
As delightful as that sounds, I would much rather add alcohol to the mix and make it into a martini (home schooling is no joke). I dare say that this came out even better than my favorite Chocolate Espresso Martini.
I still highly recommend it if you want to shake things up in a hurry, but the extra bit of effort is worth it with this one. Just get that cute Immersion blender that you’ve had your eye on.
The martini version is a simple mixture of milk, Kahlua and vanilla vodka as the base. Plenty of that coveted whipped topping gets added for maximum creamy enjoyment.
I used around 4 teaspoons of instant coffee, sugar and water for a full effect. You can decrease to 3 if you prefer less topping. I recommend adding a tablespoon of caramel or chocolate sauce to the alcohol mixture for added sweetness.
A dusting of cocoa powder completes the look of this beautiful martini. Lightly stir the mixture together before enjoying, or spoon out all that whipped goodness like its a bowl of ice cream.
