Slow Cooker Hot Wings

Chicken wings are cooked in a Slow Cooker with a St. Louis style sauce.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. of Chicken Wings
  • 1/3 C. Durkee Sandwich Sauce
  • 1/2 C. Frank's Hot Sauce
  • 1 Tsp. Paprika
  • 1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/4 C. Margarine or Butter

Instructions

  1. Add chicken wings to Slow Cooker.
  2. Cut butter into small slices and sprinkle over top of chicken.
  3. In a mixing bowl; whisk together Durkee sauce, Hot Sauce, paprika, onion and garlic powder.
  4. Pour sauce over top of wings and lightly stir.
  5. Cook on High for 3-4 hours or Low for 5-6 hours.
  6. During last 15 minutes of cooking time; remove lid, reduce heat to warm and add 3 tsp of cornstarch; stir.
  7. Serve with Ranch and Blue Cheese salad dressing for dipping.
  8. Optional: For crispier wings; put the sauced wings in the oven on a baking sheet and bake for around 30 minutes at around 375 degrees.
