This Crockpot Orange Chicken is super easy to make with barbecue sauce, orange marmalade, soy sauce and orange juice.  It is part of my weekly dinner rotation and popular with the kids.  Serve it in a bowl over rice or stir-fried noodles with veggies for a complete meal.

Crockpot Orange Chicken

This Crockpot Orange Chicken is super easy to make with barbecue sauce, orange marmalade, soy sauce and orange juice.  It is part of my weekly dinner rotation and popular with the kids.  Serve it in a bowl over rice or stir-fried noodles with veggies for a complete meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 c. Sweet Baby Rays barbecue sauce
  • 1/3 c. orange marmalade
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. orange juice
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional for added spice)
  • 3 tbsp. corn starch

Instructions

  1. Add chicken to the bottom of the crockpot.  Salt and pepper the tops of the chicken.

  2. Top with barbecue sauce, orange marmalade, soy sauce, orange juice and red pepper flakes

  3. Cook on high for around 3 1/2 hours.  Remove chicken from the Crockpot and cut into large cubes.  

  4. Ladle out around 3/4 of the sauce mixture into a bowl. Add the cornstarch and whisk to combine.

  5. Add sauce mixture and chicken back into the crockpot, lightly stir, and allow it to thicken for around 30 minutes.

  6. Serve over rice or stir-fried noodles.
