Ingredients

  • Box of White Cake Mix
  • 2 20 oz. Cans Apple Pie Filling
  • 1 Jar Caramel Sundae Sauce
  • Icing:
  • 1/3 C. Instant Butterscotch Pudding Mix
  • 1 12 oz. Cool Whip
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 C. Pecan Bits

Instructions

  1. Spray a 13x9 Cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Evenly spread both cans of Apple Pie filling into the bottom of the pan.
  3. Prepare White Cake mix according to package instructions. I recommend always substituting the water for milk.
  4. Pour prepared cake mix over the apple pie filling.
  5. Bake at 350 Degrees for around 30 minutes.
  6. Beware that a toothpick will not come out cleanly when it is done baking due to the apples.
  7. Let cake cool and poke holes around every one inch of the cake using the back of a wooden cooking spoon.
  8. Pour the jar of caramel sauce evenly over the top of the cake.
  9. Prepare the Icing:
  10. In medium mixing bowl; add Butterscotch pudding and cool whip.
  11. Beat together until thoroughly combined.
  12. Spread icing over the top of the cake.
  13. Sprinkle with Pecan Bits.
  14. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
