Slow Cooker Apple French Toast Casserole only takes 2 hours to cook on high for an easy breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf of french bread; cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
  • 3 Green Apples; peeled and cubed sprinkled with a 1 Tbsp. of sugar
  • 8 Eggs
  • 4 C. Milk
  • 1/4 C. White Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tsp.Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla
  • Apple Topping:
  • 1/3 C. Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 C. Melted Butter

Instructions

  1. Coat the bottom and sides of a slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. Add bread cubes to bottom of the crockpot.
  3. In a large mixing bowl; whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top of the bread.
  5. Lightly press the bread down to ensure it is thoroughly coated.
  6. Add the apples to the top of the egg-soaked bread.
  7. In a small bowl; add the melted butter, cinnamon and brown sugar.
  8. Mix together and spoon over the top of the apples.
  9. Cook on High for 2-2/12 hours or on Low for around 4 hours.
  10. Serve topped with Maple Syrup.
