This Holiday Coconut Margarita Pitcher is perfect for entertaining guests throughout the winter. Fresh cranberries and a sugared rim complete this margarita with tequila, white cranberry juice, Malibu, fresh lime juice, orange juice and coconut milk.
This margarita is such a festive showpiece with fresh cranberries that stand out against the snowy white background of this cocktail. Make an impressive table display with evergreens and a string of LED lights. Be sure to add your favorite bottles of wine and mix-ins to make holiday cocktails and martinis for a complete holiday drink table. A Sugar Cookie Martini, Peppermint White Russian or Candy Cane Martini are a few of my favorite things.
Ingredients Needed for a Holiday Coconut Margarita Pitcher:
- Lime Juice – around 1/2 C. of fresh lime juice will require around 3 limes.
- Tequila – 1 1/2 C. of your favorite Blanco/Silver Tequila to keep the margarita a beautiful white color.
- Orange Liqueur – 3/4 C. of Triple Sec, Grand Marnier or Cointreau. I prefer the taste of Cointreau for this margarita.
- Malibu – 3/4 C. of this Coconut flavored liqueur are used to give it extra flavor.
- White Cranberry Juice – 2 C. are needed for the festive cranberry flavor. Regular cranberry juice can be used if needed, but the drink will take on a pink color.
- Orange Juice – 1/2 C. of fresh or pure varieties for additional flavoring.
- Coconut Milk – 2 1/2 C. of unsweetened coconut milk. Don’t use the canned variety as it will be clumpy and unpleasant for a cocktail.
Garnishments:
- Fresh Cranberries – 1 C. of fresh cranberries get added to the pitcher for color and garnishment.
- Raw Sugar – around 2 tbsp. of raw sugar can used on the rim as an additional garnishment.
- Lime Slices – use a lime slice to rub over the rim of the cocktail glass to adhere the sugar.
Recommended Equipment:
- A glass pitcher with handles that holds around 90 oz. makes a perfect display piece for this festive cocktail. I use this one for margarita pitchers and sangrias.
- You will need a Citrus Squeezer such as this to make fresh lime juice for this recipe.
- A glass measuring cup makes it much easier to quickly add the needed recipe amounts.
