Spiked Sweet Tea | 3 Yummy Tummies

This Spiked Lemon Berry Sweet Tea is perfect for these last days of summer and upcoming Labor Day celebrations. Fresh lemon juice, berries, basil and plenty of spiced rum are a great way to transform that ordinary tea into something refreshing and fabulous!

Its always bitter sweet to see the last days of summer coming to an end, but drinks like these have you dreaming of warm summer days all year long. A pitcher of this with a bucket of Watermelon Margarita Slushes are perfect for those planning Labor Day parties. Brew up some tea and add an extra bit of goodness everyone will thank you for it!

I used frozen blueberries to help keep the drink extra cool. Substituting raspberries or strawberries would also be a major win in my book. I picked a few sprigs of fresh basil from my sad little herb garden for extra flavor and a beautiful pop of color. Now, is the time to start thinking about what the heck I’m going to do with the rest of my herbs before they are taken by the promise of cold winter days. At least, the brown patch of grass in our backyard will be greeted with plenty of other dying plants for a winning monochromatic combination.

I’ve really been procrastinating on getting on the Facebook food video bandwagon. I believe this is the 4th consecutive weekend of telling my husband that we are really doing it this time. Hmmm…I think we were distracted by actually having a weekend to ourselves for our anniversary. I can’t remember the last time I slept until 10 in the morning.
