This Peppermint White Russian is perfect for entertaining during the holidays with Peppermint Vodka, Kahlua and Half & Half. Add whipped cream and crushed candy canes for a festive topping.
It isn’t the holiday season without a new, festive cocktail here at 3 Yummy Tummies. My Pumpkin Spice White Russian remains one of my all-time favorite fall cocktails. I thought we would bring some winter flavors to the traditional recipe.
This drink is so creamy and delicious with subtle hints of peppermint that don’t overpower the bits of coffee flavor from the Kahlua. There is just something so mesmerizing about the marble effect that is created here. A huge winner in my book!
I prefer Smirnoff Peppermint Twist Vodka in my Peppermint White Russian. You could also make your own Peppermint Infused Vodka at home. The other option, is to use a bit of Peppermint Schnapps with regular vodka. This would be around 1 shot of vodka and 1/2 shot of schnapps with 1 1/2 shots of Kahlua for similar results.
If you want to cut back on calories, I would recommend using 2% milk instead of cream. This still yields a delicious cocktail with the same great flavors. Enjoy the extra room for Christmas cookies!
If you loved this Peppermint White Russian, be sure to check out some of my other favorite holiday cocktails. A Sugar Cookie or Candy Cane Martini are a couple of my favorites to pair with this for dessert cocktails.
This Peppermint White Russian is perfect for entertaining during the holidays with Peppermint Vodka, Kahlua and Half & Half. Add whipped cream and crushed candy canes for a festive topping.
Fill a lowball cocktail glass with ice
Add the Peppermint Vodka and Kahlua (my preference is around 1.5 shots of each)
Lightly stir to combine.
Slowly pour the cream over the top of the alcohol mixture.
Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes.
This Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball is so festive for the holidays and easily made with only 5 ingredients. Make it the day before for a worry-free holiday celebration. Serve it with your favorite crackers, pretzels or veggies.
I love making this easy, no-bake appetizer for Christmas and New Year’s. It is so flavorful and budget-friendly during the expensive, holiday season. I like to have my kids help with make this gooey goodness. It is a great excuse for them to get their hands a little dirty.
It is important to ensure that your cream cheese is softened to room temperature. This will allow you to easily incorporate the other ingredients into the cheese ball. I use a spatula to start combining the ingredients and roughly mix by hand. The cheese mixture remains firm enough to easily roll into a ball. Once you have a nice shape, roll the ball onto a cutting board with the roughly chopped pecans. I like to sprinkle a bit of dried parsley over my pecans before rolling. It adds a nice bit of additional color for this festive, holiday appetizer.
This recipe can easily be tweaked to taste. Feel free to switch out half of the white cheddar and add a bit of Gorgonzola or feta cheese for a more sophisticated flavor. You can switch out the green onion for chives if preferred. Mix in some of your favorite nuts in place of the pecans. I would love to try it with pistachios added as well.

This Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball is so festive for the holidays and easily made with only 5 ingredients. Make it the day before for a worry-free holiday celebration. Serve it with your favorite crackers, pretzels or veggies.
Roughly chop the pecans and add a 1/2 C. to a mixing bowl with the cream cheese.
Sprinkle the remaining pecans with dried parsley (optional).
Add the green onion, dried cranberries, and white cheddar cheese.
Combine with a large wooden spoon or spatula.
Finish combining with your hands before forming into an even ball-shape.
Roll the ball onto the remaining pecans until evenly coated.
Wrap the cheeseball with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
I recommend letting it refrigerate overnight to allow for the flavors to really set.
Serve with your favorite crackers, pretzels or veggie sticks.

This Vampire’s Kiss Martini will make the perfect addition to your upcoming Halloween parties. Vanilla vodka, Amaretto and pineapple juice make this cocktail sweet and flavorful. The addition of a bloody rim made from corn syrup and chocolate syrup creates a spooky presentation.
Each year, I try to create a new Halloween cocktail and this one has to be up there with my Melted Witch Martini. Both martinis are sweet with colorful and festive rims. A fun prop of vampire’s fangs really adds the finishing touch to this fun cocktail.
The fake blood adds such a fun touch and can also be used to create other Halloween cocktails. I also, used it on top of my Zombie Brain Jello shots. It would also be great for drizzling on dessert trays and for a costume prop. A coarse ground sugar mixed with a bit of red food coloring adds the perfect finishing touch.
If you prefer a stronger martini, feel free to increase the vodka to 3 oz. in place of a shot of pineapple juice. You can also use plain vodka if you don’t have vanilla on hand.
The red, sugar rim is made by mixing a few drops of red food coloring in with coarse ground sugar. Complete the rim by running a lime wedge over the top of the glass before dipping onto a plate with the sugar. You can also, use red sugar sprinkles.
The fake blood is simple to make. You will just need corn syrup, a bit of chocolate sauce and red food coloring. I used the below ratios for the perfect bloody color and texture. Feel free to use a bit more of each ingredient as needed for the desired color.
Drizzle the fake blood over the vampire fangs and down the side of the martini glass for a creepy effect. I pierced martini picks through the teeth, but you can also just place them over the rim of the glass.
If you love this Vampire’s Kiss Martini, be sure to check out my cocktail page for more inspiration. I recommend Fireball Apple Cider or Caramel Apple Sangria to go with these spooky martinis. Happy Cocktail Making!

This easy, Pumpkin Dump Cake is sure to be a hit this fall. Vanilla cake mix is used as the base with pumpkin, evaporated milk and a pecan and butterscotch chip topping. Serve it warm with whipped cream and a caramel sauce topping for a truly decadent treat.
Dump cakes are such an easy dessert to make when you are entertaining over the holidays. I love the variations of textures with the crispy addition of this pecan and butterscotch chip topping. I would 100%, take a dump cake or this Pumpkin Poke Cake over pie for dessert this Thanksgiving.
If you want to ensure to get an even coating of butter without having any dry cake mix, I recommend cutting the butter into fine slices. Just be sure to layer it evenly over the top of the cake for best results. If you are in a hurry, you can also melt the butter and pour it evenly over the cake.
The butterscotch chips ended up being such a great extra bit of flavor with the pumpkin. I just roughly chopped them up after after I prepped the pecans. Toffee bits could also be substituted as well. Just ensure that you sprinkle them evenly over the cake mix with the almonds before adding the butter.
Don’t forget to add a Fireball Apple Cider Sangria or Pumpkin Spice White Russian to your holiday menus. If you loved this Pumpkin Dump Cake, be sure to check out my favorite Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake. The topping is to die for!

This Easy Fresh Strawberry Pie is perfect for summer BBQ’s and 4th of July. It is easily prepared with pre-made pie crust with a fresh strawberry filling that is thickened with a bit of Jell-O and cornstarch.
I made this recipe for Father’s Day and it was a huge hit. It goes great with BBQ and is so refreshing and easy to make. Check out my tips below for no-fuss tips for prepping fresh strawberries. The addition of a few blueberries is great for a patriotic, 4th of July dessert.
Increase the longevity of your whipped cream by simply mixing in a bit of vanilla pudding. I use a chilled mixing bowl and beat around 1 1/2 cups of Heavy Whipping Cream on high until thickened and then, whip in around 2 tbsp. of vanilla pudding. This is great for extra flavor as well!
